Job Description

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for elevator and escalator installations based on project specifications and architectural plans.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and design teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with technical requirements.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, identifying discrepancies and proposing effective solutions.
• Update and revise shop drawings as required to reflect design changes or site conditions.
• Ensure all shop drawings adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to incorporate product specifications into shop drawings.
• Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings upon project completion.
• Provide technical support to installation teams during the execution phase.
• Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss drawing progress, challenges, and solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in shop drawing preparation, preferably within the elevator or mechanical engineering sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
• Ability to interpret and apply industry standards and safety codes.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects.
• Problem-solving skills to address design discrepancies and site challenges.
• Willingness to work onsite as required by project demands.
