Workshop Manager – Aluminum & Shading Factory (GCC / Oman)
Job Summary
The Workshop Manager is responsible for managing all workshop operations related to aluminum fabrication and shading systems in compliance with Oman Labor Law, GCC standards, and company policies. The role ensures efficient production, cost control, quality assurance, safety compliance, and timely delivery to project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Planning
Plan and supervise daily workshop operations for aluminum and shading products (windows, doors, pergolas, louvers, canopies, façades, etc.).
Ensure production aligns with approved shop drawings, BOQs, and project schedules.
Coordinate closely with project managers and site engineers to meet installation timelines.
Optimize production workflow to reduce delays and rework.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, consultant approvals, and system supplier guidelines.
Implement quality checks at each fabrication stage (cutting, machining, assembly, finishing).
Reduce rejection, rework, and site complaints.

Manage skilled and unskilled labor in accordance with Oman labor regulations.
Monitor attendance, overtime, productivity, and leave planning.
Ensure work visas, IDs, and trade licenses are respected (in coordination with HR).
Provide on-the-job training and skill development.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of aluminum profiles, glass, motors, accessories, and consumables.

Control material wastage and ensure proper storage and handling.

Support management in cost reduction and budget control initiatives.

Enforce HSE standards as per Oman regulations and company policies.

Ensure all staff wear PPE and follow safety procedures.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe workshop conditions at all times.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management.
Coordinate with stores, logistics, and site teams for dispatch planning.
Support audits (ISO, internal, consultant inspections if applicable).

Qualifications & Experience
Diploma / Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field (preferred).
7–10 years experience in aluminum & shading fabrication within GCC.
Strong knowledge of GCC market standards, consultants’ requirements, and site coordination.
Proven leadership experience managing multicultural workforces.
