Jop Purpose

Responsible for leading the design and implementation of comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and frameworks to strengthen SOPC’s security posture. This role oversees resilience planning, risk management, operations, and awareness to ensure proactive threat mitigation and regulatory alignment. By driving cybersecurity operations, safeguarding digital assets, and implementing best practices, the Director ensures the protection of SOPC’s infrastructure and data against evolving cyber threats.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Cybersecurity Resilience & Risk Management

• Lead the development and implementation of an advanced cyber risk analysis framework and methodology, fostering a proactive approach to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential threats across SOPC.
• Lead and direct the creation of detailed reports while meticulously reviewing and directing the cybersecurity risk assessment registry to ensure comprehensive cybersecurity risk management strategies are in place.
• Provide strategic direction for configuring compliance assessments, ensuring strict adherence to established security protocols and regulatory standards.
• Steer comprehensive source code reviews, ensuring the highest standards of integrity and security for developed applications.
• Evaluate emerging digital ventures and current system architectures, providing strategic guidance to identify vulnerabilities and direct the creation of robust and adaptable secure systems and networks aligning with SOPC’s objectives and security requisites.
• Direct and lead cybersecurity project management initiatives, orchestrating high-level strategies to fortify organizational defenses and effectively manage risk.
• Patriciate in the Enterprise Architecture Board, embedding Zero-Trust principles and security design patterns.

Cybersecurity Operations

• Direct 24/7 cybersecurity monitoring and detection operations, ensuring a vigilant and responsive approach to identifying and neutralizing potential threats across SOPC’s networks and systems.
• Lead the operation, configuration, and maintenance of a suite of cybersecurity solutions and cutting-edge technologies, ensuring their efficacy and alignment with evolving threats and organizational needs.
• Strategically guide vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, leveraging these activities to proactively identify and rectify potential weaknesses within the cybersecurity infrastructure.
• Lead the detection of cybersecurity threats and orchestrate comprehensive threat intelligence efforts, enabling the organization to stay ahead of emerging risks and adversaries.
• Direct digital forensics and incident response analysis, ensuring a swift and effective response to cyber incidents and breaches while leading efforts to prevent their recurrence.
• Lead the reporting of the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape, including network and cybersecurity vulnerabilities, to equip key stakeholders with critical insights and inform decision-making.
• Act as SOPC’s single point of contact for regulators and ensure continuous compliance.

Vendor Security & Third-Party Risk

• Lead the full third-party security lifecycle—due diligence, onboarding, continuous monitoring, and off-boarding—for every vendor and partner.

Cybersecurity Awareness

• Direct awareness programs and educational initiatives focused on cybersecurity to impart cybersecurity best practices to employees fostering a culture of security consciousness and accountability.
• Direct the development and assurance of cybersecurity resilience requirements within the business continuity framework, guaranteeing seamless operations during and after cyber incidents.
