Job Description

Holding company in Libya is seeking a highly competent and results-driven Accounting Manager to lead and oversee the company’s accounting operations across its subsidiaries. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, effective internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee daily accounting operations and lead the accounting team.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professional development.
  • Manage budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risk management.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
  • Oversee cost accounting and production costing, especially within manufacturing and construction chemical operations.
  • Support ERP system optimization (odoo) to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decisions.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Professional certification (CMA, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction materials sector is highly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (preferably Odoo).
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.
