Job Description

• Lead, mentor, and manage all the department teams.
• Oversee the end-to-end book development process (manuscript acquisition, editing, design, and production).
• Develop and implement the department’s strategy to achieve content and market growth targets.
• Monitor industry trends and academic publishing standards to maintain competitiveness.
• Ensure academic accuracy, editorial quality, and compliance with curriculum/educational standards.
• Develop and manage content creation schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, and distribution teams to support product launch and availability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with authors, educators, and academic partners.
• Prepare and manage department budgets.
• Monitor KPIs such as production timelines, sales performance, and content quality.
• Optimize resources and reduce costs without compromising quality.
• Represent the company at academic events, conferences, and industry exhibitions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7–12+ years in academic content development, curriculum design, or educational publishing.
• 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role
