Job Summary

Join our customer’s team as a Principal eCommerce/Retail Operating Expert, driving transformative results for leading eCommerce and retail businesses. As a hands-on growth and operations advisor, you will collaborate directly with clients to diagnose real-world performance challenges and deliver actionable, high-impact strategies for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze partial, messy, or incomplete business data to uncover performance gaps and root causes

• Advise clients on eCommerce operational best practices and growth strategies

• Identify and prioritize high-leverage opportunities that maximize business impact

• Communicate complex findings and strategies in clear, compelling written and verbal formats

• Develop actionable, prioritized roadmaps for conversion optimization, retention, and CAC improvement

• Guide clients on tradeoffs and resource allocation under constraints

• Serve as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships and driving client success

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on eCommerce and retail operating experience (operator, not just strategist)

• Proven track record diagnosing and solving performance issues in fast-paced business environments

• Expertise in conversion, customer acquisition cost (CAC), retention, and growth levers

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate insights and recommendations

• Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with incomplete or ambiguous data

• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize the most impactful opportunities

• Experience advising stakeholders and translating strategies into actionable plans

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with both D2C and marketplace eCommerce models

• Exposure to scaling eCommerce businesses from early to growth stage

• Familiarity with best-in-class eCommerce tools, platforms, and analytics solutions
