About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our backend systems. You’ll architect scalable services, drive technical decision-making, and mentor engineers — owning backend quality from design through production.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js
• Build high-performance RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Architect microservices and distributed systems
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and resilience
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and engineering best practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers
• Participate in system design and key technical decisions

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience
• Strong expertise in Node.js with Express.js or NestJS
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with RESTful API design standards
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Strong understanding of Git and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes
• Experience with system design at scale
• Understanding of security best practices
