Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dispatcher role based in Alexandria. The Dispatcher coordinates daily cargo movements, assigns and monitors vehicles, and ensures that shipments are picked up and delivered on schedule. Responsibilities include receiving and processing transport orders, updating schedules, and communicating with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to resolve issues or delays. The role involves maintaining accurate records of trips, loads, and delivery statuses, as well as verifying documentation related to cargo handling and transport. The Dispatcher also supports safety and compliance by following company procedures, reporting incidents, and helping implement operational improvements.
Qualifications

• Strong scheduling, coordination, and time-management abilities to handle multiple shipments and routes efficiently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with drivers, operations staff, and customers.
• Basic proficiency with dispatch or logistics software, spreadsheets, and standard office applications.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in recording shipment data, documentation, and status updates.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of cargo handling practices, transportation procedures, and relevant safety or regulatory requirements is an advantage.
