Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to the financial services industry. The role plays a key part in supporting financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain daily accounting transactions and journal entries.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Support the preparation of tax and regulatory filings.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and payments.
- Assist with audits and provide required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
- Assist in recording and monitoring factoring transactions.
- Follow up on client settlements and collections.
- Support portfolio reconciliation and reporting activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and journal entries.
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or accounting software is a plus.
- Good command of English is preferred
