Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute comprehensive maintenance strategies for a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues promptly.
• Implement and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
• Contribute to the design, installation, and commissioning of new mechanical systems and upgrades.
• Ensure strict adherence to all industry safety regulations and operational best practices.
• Prepare and review detailed technical documentation, reports, and schematics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, electrical, and instrumentation teams to achieve project goals.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Required Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engine mechanics used in power generation applications.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical troubleshooting of generator prime movers, including fuel, lubrication, cooling, intake, and exhaust systems.
  • Experience in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of generator sets and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Solid understanding of Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Materials Engineering principles.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to engine performance, vibration, overheating, abnormal noise, and mechanical failures.
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment reliability, alignment, balancing, and condition monitoring techniques.
  • Familiarity with industrial Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and safe maintenance practices.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret technical drawings, maintenance procedures, inspection reports, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in maintenance planning, shutdown activities, and continuous improvement programs.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably involving diesel or gas-powered generators, engines, compressors, pumps, or other rotating equipment.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Power Generation, Petrochemical, or Industrial sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with major engine manufacturers such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Perkins, MTU, MAN, and Waukesha is an advantage.
• Experience in condition monitoring, equipment inspections, and maintenance management systems is desirable.
