Job Overview

We are hiring a Senior Furniture Technical (Joinery / Manufacturing) to translate design intent into precise technical documentation and manage all pre-production technical outputs for manufacturing and fit-out projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate furniture layouts and design references into clear technical scopes and furniture/joinery breakdowns.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation, including BOMs, material take-offs, and fully specified FF&E schedules.
• Produce complete shop drawings, workshop drawings, and joinery details.
• Prepare cutting lists, nesting layouts, and production-ready documentation.
• Resolve technical issues through coordination with design, technical office, and production teams.
• Perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-workload environment, meeting tight deadlines with accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Applied Arts, or related.
• 6–8+ years of hands-on experience in furniture and joinery technical works.
• Proven ability to independently deliver complete furniture/joinery shop drawing packages.
• Solid knowledge of wood materials, finishes, hardware, and manufacturing methods.
• Factory-based production exposure preferred.
• Ability to join on short notice period.

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD – advanced shop and workshop drawings.
• Excel – preparation of BOMs, material take-offs, and cutting lists.
• Proven experience with furniture manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to produce clear isometric and exploded technical views for furniture and joinery as part of workshop and fabrication drawings (using SketchUp or equivalent tools).
• Cutting and nesting optimization tools (e.g., Cut Optimizer or similar).
• Fusion 360 or similar CAD/CAM tools (plus).
