Company Description Shifa Hospitals Group is one of the largest private hospital systems in Egypt, offering comprehensive medical services and advanced surgical procedures, including neurosurgery, cochlear implants, and open-heart surgeries. The group serves approximately 18,500 outpatients per month across 34 outpatient clinics and 18 Centers of Excellence. Its Accident and Emergency department is equipped to provide rapid, life-saving care within a tightly managed response window. The hospital features 10 capsulated operating theatres with state-of-the-art medical devices, 300 beds including multiple intensive care units, and a range of inpatient rooms from single rooms to royal suites. Shifa Hospitals Group combines high clinical standards with hotel-style hospitality to support patients’ comfort and well-being throughout their stay.
Role Description The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing a professional, welcoming first point of contact for patients, visitors, and partners at Shifa Hospitals Group. This on-site role, based in New Cairo, includes greeting and directing patients, answering and routing phone calls, managing appointments, and responding to general inquiries. Daily tasks also include checking patients in and out, verifying basic information, coordinating with clinical and administrative teams, and maintaining an organized and presentable reception area. The Front Desk Receptionist will handle clerical duties such as filing, data entry, document preparation, and managing incoming and outgoing correspondence. This is a full-time position that requires consistent on-site presence and collaboration with multidisciplinary hospital teams.
Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients, families, and staff.
  • Demonstrated experience in front desk or receptionist duties, including greeting visitors, managing check-in/check-out processes, and handling inquiries.
  • Proficient phone etiquette and ability to manage multi-line phone systems, route calls appropriately, and take accurate messages.
  • Clerical skills such as data entry, filing, appointment scheduling, and basic record handling using computer systems and office software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in administration, hospitality, or healthcare support is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is a plus, with basic familiarity with medical terminology considered beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to remain calm and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in New Cairo on a full-time basis, including flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
