We are hiring a Senior Accountant to manage financial operations and ensure accurate accounting records within the tourism and travel industry. The role is responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations. You will support financial decision-making through accurate reporting, reconciliations, and analysis. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analyses
• Monitor cash flow and support effective cash management processes
• Handle supplier settlements, customer accounts, and tourism-related financial transactions
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax regulations, VAT, withholding tax, and financial reporting requirements
• Support tourism package costing and financial performance analysis
• Maintain accurate accounting records and coordinate with internal stakeholders on financial matters

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience within the Tourism and Travel industry
• Previous experience in a travel agency, tour operator, destination management company (DMC), airline, hospitality-related business, or similar environment
• Strong experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, and Cash Management
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial analysis, and reporting
• Experience using ERP and accounting software systems
• Strong understanding of Egyptian tax regulations, VAT, withholding tax, and financial compliance requirements
• Very Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
