Job Title: Cards Management Systems Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The Cards Management Systems professional will have strong expertise in card issuing, transaction processing, and payment systems within the banking and financial services industry. Including hands-on experience with TSYS platforms, supporting end-to-end card lifecycle management, authorization, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation processes. Skilled in requirements analysis, system configuration, testing, production support, and integration of card solutions. And proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant card management solutions while ensuring high service availability and enhanced customer experience.

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Administer and maintain TSYS card management platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with business standards and service level agreements.
• Support and optimize card lifecycle processes including card issuance, account management, transaction authorization, clearing, settlement, dispute handling, and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and architecture-aligned card processing solutions.
• Coordinate and support integrations between TSYS, business networks, issuer processors, third-party vendors, and external systems using APIs, ISO 8583 messaging, and related payment technologies.
• Develop test scenarios, execute system and user acceptance testing, validate transaction flows, and provide production support to ensure seamless delivery and minimal operational disruptions.
• Monitor system performance, resolve incidents, implement process improvements, and ensure adherence to business operating regulations, security standards, and industry best practices, including PCI DSS and scheme requirements.

Knowledge and Experience:

• Strong understanding of the end-to-end card transaction lifecycle, including authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks, and card lifecycle management across networks.
• Proven experience configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting TSYS card management systems, with familiarity with issuer processors, card management applications, and transaction processing environments.
• Strong knowledge of messaging, APIs, web services, and system integrations between issuers, acquirers, and third-party vendors, with the ability to analyze transaction flows and resolve complex issues.
• Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, system and UAT testing, defect management, and collaborating effectively with business, operations, and technology teams to deliver high-quality payment solutions.

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions or the FinTech industry.
• Regional experience, including working in a faced-paced matrix organisation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation); fluency in Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Skills:

• The ability to analyse data, troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
• Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
• An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
