Role Description The Cutting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt. This role is responsible for overseeing all cutting room operations, including fabric planning, marker making, spreading, cutting, bundling, and coordination with production and quality teams. The Cutting Manager monitors fabric utilization, minimizes wastage, ensures adherence to specifications, and maintains accurate records of fabric and cut parts. Daily tasks include assigning work to cutting staff, supervising workflow to meet production targets, implementing quality and safety standards, and resolving technical or operational issues in the cutting process. The role also involves training team members, coordinating with planning and merchandising departments on style requirements, and providing regular reports on performance, efficiency, and inventory.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of garment cutting processes, including fabric behavior, marker efficiency, spreading, and cutting techniques.
• Experience in production planning and workflow management within an apparel manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead, supervise, and develop cutting room teams while maintaining high performance and discipline.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality control, fabric utilization, and minimizing defects and wastage.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Competence in using cutting room tools and, preferably, automated cutting or CAD/CAM systems.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with production, planning, quality, and merchandising teams.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Alexandria, Egypt, and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant experience in apparel manufacturing; prior experience as a Cutting Manager or Cutting Supervisor is strongly preferred.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Garment Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
