We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead the preparation and coordination of mechanical shop drawings and support site execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Shop drawings production: Prepare detailed mechanical shop drawings (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting) based on IFC drawings and project specifications.
• Review & coordination: Review IFC/design drawings and extract all required details for shop drawings. Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP trades to ensure clash-free and coordinated outputs.
• Material submittals: Prepare and submit material submittals in line with project specifications and consultant requirements; follow up on approvals.
• Quantity surveying: Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and revised quantities based on approved shop drawings; support procurement and cost control.
• Technical documentation: Prepare method statements, RFIs, and technical reports for missing or unclear information in contract documents.
• Site support: Provide technical support to site teams, ensuring execution aligns with approved shop drawings and specifications.
• Inspection & follow-up: Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance with approved drawings and standards.
• Logs & tracking: Maintain submittal logs, material tracking logs, and shop drawing registers; monitor approvals and distribution.
• As-built drawings: Prepare and update mechanical as-built drawings based on actual site conditions.
• Coordination: Attend technical and coordination meetings; follow up on all mechanical-related issues until closure.

Specifications (Qualifications, Experience, and Skills)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in construction projects (contractor side).
• Strong experience in mechanical shop drawings preparation and quantity take-off.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).
• Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Understanding of specifications, BOQs, and construction workflows.
• Strong coordination, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
