Document Review Specialist (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your reading comprehension and eye for detail could directly shape how AI understands the written world? We’re looking for Document Review Specialists to read, annotate, and classify real-world documents — helping AI systems learn to interpret everything from news articles and research reports to forms and contracts.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong literacy skills and a systematic mindset. No prior experience in law, document management, or AI is required — just a sharp eye and a commitment to quality work.

What You’ll Do

• Read and annotate a wide variety of documents — including articles, reports, forms, and structured data
• Classify document sections, identify key information, and label important data points
• Extract and tag entities such as names, dates, locations, and relationships within text
• Follow structured annotation guidelines with precision and consistency
• Maintain a high standard of quality and accuracy across large document sets
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Strong reading comprehension skills across diverse document types
• Detail-oriented with a methodical, systematic approach to tasks
• Comfortable working through high volumes of varied content without losing accuracy
• Able to follow detailed annotation guidelines and apply them consistently
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No legal, academic, or document management background required

Nice to Have

• Experience in editing, research, data entry, or quality assurance
• Familiarity with annotation tools or content review platforms
• Background in journalism, communications, library science, or information management
