The Vice President of Global Operational Excellence is a key executive responsible for building and continuously improving the company’s operational management system. This role entails full responsibility for driving improvements in global operational efficiency, optimizing processes, and establishing an operational excellence framework. By implementing unified operational standards and promoting digital transformation and Lean management methodologies, the incumbent continuously enhances operational efficiency, cost structures, and service quality, ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence across the company’s global operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
**I. Global Operations Strategy and Operational Excellence Framework**
Formulate the global Operational Excellence strategy aligned with the company’s overall corporate strategy;
Establish a unified global operational management system and standards;
Drive the upgrading of operational models and the optimization of business processes;
Ensure global operational capabilities support the company’s long-term business growth.
**II. Process Optimization and Efficiency Enhancement**
Drive the standardization and optimization of key business processes;
Apply methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to enhance operational efficiency;
Reduce operational costs and boost productivity;
Establish mechanisms for continuous improvement.
**III. Global Operational Standards and Governance**
Establish unified global operational processes, policies, and management guidelines;
Ensure consistency and high-quality standards in operational execution across regions;
Promote the replication and adoption of best practices throughout global operations;
Implement operational audit and assessment mechanisms.
**IV. Digital Operations and Data-Driven Management**
Drive the digital transformation and automation of operations;
Establish systems for operational data analysis and visualization;
Leverage data to drive decision-making and operational improvements;
Enhance global business transparency and operational insight capabilities.
**V. Cross-Regional Operational Collaboration**
Coordinate operational resources and capabilities across global regions;
Foster cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing;
Resolve critical bottlenecks in global business operations;
Support global business expansion and entry into new markets.
**VI. Performance Management and Operational Metrics**
Establish global operational KPIs and performance management systems;
Monitor operational efficiency, cost structures, and service quality;
Periodically evaluate operational performance across regions;
Provide operational analysis and improvement recommendations to the CEO/COO.
**VII. Organizational Capability Building and Cultural Promotion**
Build a global operational excellence team and expert network;
Develop talent in Lean operations and continuous improvement;
Promote an operational culture focused on efficiency, quality, and customer value;
Enhance the organization’s overall execution capabilities and management maturity. Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
MBA or advanced training in operations management preferred.
Work Experience
20+ years of experience in operations management or corporate process optimization;
At least 15 years of leadership experience in operations management or operational excellence within large enterprises;
Experience in global or multi-regional operations management;
Proven track record of driving operational transformation or efficiency improvement projects.
Core Competencies
Ability to establish global operational systems;
Proficiency in process optimization and Lean management;
Capability to manage operations in complex organizational structures;
Data-driven decision-making skills;
Executive-level leadership and cross-cultural management capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in operations management at large multinational corporations;
Professional certifications such as Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt;
Experience with corporate digital transformation or intelligent operations projects;
Experience in global business integration or post-merger operational integration.
