Job Description

  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive food safety and quality assurance programs in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the QA team to ensure consistent application of food safety protocols and best practices across all operational processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities to identify risks, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, customer complaints, and product recalls.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of all food safety and quality assurance procedures, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs for staff on food safety standards, hygiene practices, and quality control measures.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to food safety and quality, reporting findings to senior management.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and external auditors to ensure successful inspections and certifications.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in food safety and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record in managing and leading QA teams in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, ISO standards, and GMP practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with regulatory audits, third-party inspections, and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs related to food safety and quality.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining rigorous documentation standards.
  • Adaptability to evolving industry trends and regulatory requirements.
