Job Description
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive food safety and quality assurance programs in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor the QA team to ensure consistent application of food safety protocols and best practices across all operational processes.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities to identify risks, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, customer complaints, and product recalls.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of all food safety and quality assurance procedures, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate and facilitate training programs for staff on food safety standards, hygiene practices, and quality control measures.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to food safety and quality, reporting findings to senior management.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and external auditors to ensure successful inspections and certifications.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in food safety and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related field within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in managing and leading QA teams in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, ISO standards, and GMP practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and team leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience with regulatory audits, third-party inspections, and certification processes.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs related to food safety and quality.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining rigorous documentation standards.
- Adaptability to evolving industry trends and regulatory requirements.
