What POV is

POV Network is a storytelling platform, not a news feed. We build brands that help people understand the world through real stories about real people, cultures, and movements. We operate across multiple platforms. Every post earns its place or it doesn’t go up.

The role

You’ll be the person responsible for making sure every piece of content we publish is worth publishing. That means finding the stories, shaping the editorial direction, keeping the team aligned with each brand’s identity, and making sure nothing goes out that doesn’t meet the standard.

This is not a scheduling role. It is a storytelling role.

What you’ll own

  • Daily story sourcing across different regions
  • Building and maintaining the content calendar across all brands
  • Reviewing team output before it goes live – copy, hooks, structure, tone
  • Setting the editorial standard and calling out content that falls below it
  • Spotting angles before they trend, not after
  • Keeping the team sharp on what makes content earn saves and shares — not just likes

What we’re looking for

You’ve grown social media pages, real growth, not managed decline. You understand why some content travels and some doesn’t, and you can explain it clearly enough to teach it. You read the internet the way other people read the news.

Specifically:

  • 3+ years running content for a social media brand, news page, or media outlet with a demonstrable following
  • A track record of building or scaling Instagram, TikTok, and twitter – bring the numbers
  • Deep instinct for hooks — you know within seconds whether a first slide will earn the swipe
  • Strong editorial judgment — you can tell the difference between a story and a headline
  • Understanding of what drives saves and shares, not just impressions
  • Genuine knowledge of at least one of our brand worlds: British culture, MENA culture, or global human interest content
  • Fluent in English

You are not the right fit if

  • You treat news and storytelling as the same thing
  • You need a brief for every post rather than generating angles yourself
  • You’ve only ever worked in brand marketing, not editorial or content

What the job looks like day to day

You’re sourcing stories in the morning, reviewing drafts by midday, and tracking what performed in the evening. You’re in the comments. You’re on TikTok, Reddit, and Twitter before most people are awake. You have an opinion on every post we put out, and you’re not afraid to say when something isn’t good enough.
