Pinerium is seeking a motivated, innovative, and technology-driven IoT Engineer Intern to support the design, implementation, integration, and monitoring of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions across smart business, automation, and digital transformation projects.

This internship is designed for candidates interested in IoT technologies, embedded systems, automation, cloud platforms, sensors, and smart solutions. The intern will work closely with IoT Engineers, Automation Specialists, Solution Consultants, and Technical Teams to gain hands-on experience in IoT device configuration, data collection, system integration, monitoring, and smart solution deployment.

Key Responsibilities

IoT Solution Support

• Assist in the deployment and configuration of IoT devices and smart solutions.
• Support sensor installation, device setup, and connectivity testing activities.
• Help monitor IoT systems and device performance.
• Assist in collecting and validating IoT data from connected devices.
• Support troubleshooting and maintenance activities for IoT environments.

Embedded Systems & Device Integration

• Assist in configuring microcontrollers, gateways, and IoT hardware components.
• Support device integration with cloud platforms and business applications.
• Help test communication protocols and connectivity between devices.
• Assist in validating system functionality and interoperability.
• Support integration activities between IoT platforms and business systems.

Monitoring & Data Analysis

• Assist in monitoring IoT dashboards, alerts, and performance metrics.
• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Help identify operational issues and performance improvement opportunities.
• Assist in preparing reports and system status updates.
• Support optimization of IoT device performance and reliability.

Documentation & Technical Support

• Assist in preparing technical documentation, installation guides, and configuration records.
• Support maintaining project documentation and system inventories.
• Help document troubleshooting procedures and technical solutions.
• Assist in creating user guides and operational documentation.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and consistency.

Learning & Professional Development

• Participate in IoT, automation, and embedded systems training sessions.
• Learn IoT architectures, communication protocols, cloud platforms, and smart technologies.
• Stay updated with IoT trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
• Participate in Pinerium Academy learning programs.

Requirements

• Final-year student or fresh graduate in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong interest in IoT technologies, automation, embedded systems, and smart solutions.
• Basic understanding of sensors, microcontrollers, and IoT concepts.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or similar technologies is preferred.
• Basic understanding of networking, communication protocols, or cloud technologies is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast-paced environments.
• Basic programming knowledge in C++, Python, or related languages is preferred.
• Familiarity with IoT platforms, cloud services, or automation solutions is a plus.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
• Additional Requirement: Candidate must have their own laptop.
• Must be a non-smoker (all types).
