Job Description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
• Monitor and control project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations with suppliers and contractors.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of materials and work completed.
• Prepare interim and final payment applications and certifications for contractors and suppliers.
• Analyze project risks and provide recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure accurate cost forecasting.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all quantity surveying activities and contractual correspondence.
• Assist in the preparation and review of tender documents and procurement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and legal regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Experience with contract administration and negotiation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in relevant software such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying tools.
• Ability to work effectively in an office-based environment with occasional site visits.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
