Job Description
1. Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute the go-to-market sales strategy across retail, wholesale, and modern trade channels
- Identify and prioritize high-potential regions, distributors, and retail chains
- Set monthly and quarterly sales targets aligned with company growth goals
- Build pricing and trade promotion strategies in coordination with management
2. Distribution Development
- Recruit, onboard, and manage distributors and wholesalers
- Establish efficient distribution routes and coverage plans
- Ensure consistent product availability across all assigned channels
- Monitor distributor performance and enforce service level standards
3. Key Account & Retail Management
- Negotiate and manage relationships with supermarkets, mini-markets, and convenience stores
- Secure shelf space, product visibility, and promotional placement
- Handle key account contracts, pricing agreements, and trade terms
4. Field Sales Management
- Build and supervise a small field sales team
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor execution and competitor activity
- Ensure proper merchandising, stock rotation, and brand visibility in stores
5. Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Track sales performance, distribution coverage, and product movement
- Provide structured weekly/monthly reports to management
- Monitor competitor pricing, promotions, and market trends
- Recommend product or packaging adjustments based on market feedback
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years experience in FMCG sales, distribution, or trade marketing
- Strong understanding of Egyptian retail and wholesale food market
- Proven track record of building distribution networks (not just managing them)
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited structure
- Comfortable being both strategic and field-active
