Job Summary: 

We are seeking a skilled IT solutions Architect with expertise in virtualisation, network design, and cloud systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring network security, and implementing cloud solutions to support our business operations.

The role focuses on building a modern VM-based virtualisation environment supporting approximately 100 remote users, including Windows 10/11 client operating systems hosted in the cloud. The architect will design and implement the complete identity, network, and security foundation required for long-term enterprise operations.

This position combines architectural leadership with hands-on implementation expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture and server-side management:
  • Design and implement a cloud-based virtualisation architecture (AWS/Azure – Germany
  • region).
  • Architect VM-based environments using platforms such as VMware, Proxmox,
  • Hyper-V, or comparable enterprise solutions.
  • Deploy and manage Windows 10/11 virtual machines in cloud environments.
  • Design secure remote access solutions for distributed users.
  • Implement and manage Active Directory, DNS, and future-ready LDAP infrastructure.
  • Define secure cloud networking (VPC/VNet, firewalls, segmentation).
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and enterprise security standards.
  • Implement high availability, backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Apply Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• Systems Administration:
  • Manage and configure servers (Windows/Linux) and ensure their optimal performance.
  • Implement and maintain virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix).
  • Perform regular system updates, backups, and security patches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
• Network Engineering:
  • Design, configure, and manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and ensure network security.
  • Implement virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware NSX, Citrix).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.

Requirements

Education:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in system administration and network infrastructure development.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies and cloud platforms(Preferably AWS ).

Skills:

• Proficiency in managing and configuring servers and network devices.
• Knowledge of VPN end-to-end services is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Additional Skills:

• Understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
• Experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
