What You’ll Do:

• Maintain standard costs for all active ATG SKUs – updating quarterly or when material cost changes occur, with Lead approval before ERP activation
• Calculate landed cost for every import transaction within 48 hours of goods receipt – duty, freight, insurance, clearance, storage
• Prepare monthly cost variance analysis (purchase price, usage, overhead absorption) with root cause identification
• Reconcile COGS to the GL monthly – investigate and resolve all differences
• Manage inventory valuation for assigned product categories (FIFO, weighted average, or standard cost) – identify slow-moving and obsolete items quarterly and prepare provision recommendations
• Review all Cost Accountant output before it reaches the Cost & Managerial Accounting Lead – returning work with specific correction guidance
• Provide product cost data to the Senior Managerial Accountant for BU P&L and contribution margin analysis
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager on import cost inputs – duty rates, freight quotes, clearance fees, storage costs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 6+ years total experience – with 4+ years in direct cost accounting / product costing (not general financial accounting or AP/AR)
• Mandatory: Landed cost calculation experience for imported products (duty, freight, insurance, clearance, storage)
• Mandatory: Inventory valuation under EAS/IFRS (FIFO, weighted average, or standard cost) including slow-moving/obsolete provisions
• Mandatory: COGS-GL reconciliation and cost variance analysis with root cause identification
• ERP cost accounting module experience (Odoo) – not spreadsheet-only
• Strongly preferred: Medical device, pharmaceutical, or import distribution costing experience
• Fluent Arabic (native) and professional English (writing/reading)
• CMA certification strongly preferred (actively pursuing accepted – clear preference over unqualified candidates)
