Job description:
– Providing technical advice and support on the design, engineering and construction of Electrical systems for building projects
. – Staying up to date with the latest codes & standards.
– Maintaining good customer/consultants relationship.
– Continuous follow-up with the Design Manager & Project Engineers to ensure that the Team’s targets are achieved.
– Efficient review of Electrical systems design
– The provision of sound and reliable technical advice.
– Efficient review of material submittal.
– Inspection of work progress and quality of the work performed.
– Write detailed reports
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
– Review designs submitted by the consultants and make sure that they are as per the latest standards.
– Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and specifications
– Ensure that purposed designs are in compliance with the latest energy efficient design criteria.
– Propose alternative design solutions to render the projects viable and within allocated budget.
– Review material submittals
. – Write detailed reports
– Review the payments related to Electrical works.
– Review the progress of the Electrical works at site.
– Inspect the quality of the works and make sure it is as per ACUD standards and requirements.

Requirements

• requirements and qualifications:
  – A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  -Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering
  -Experience with electrical design – Experience with Residential, Commercial and Administrative projects. -A good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and project planning tools are required.
  -Strong communication skills
  -Strong problem-solving skill
  -Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
