About the Role
You will be responsible for transforming raw data from web, app, and distribution platforms into actionable insights for Editorial, Scheduling, and Revenue teams. This role requires a blend of meticulous reporting, analytical curiosity, and familiarity with the US media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Reporting: Own and deliver high-visibility reporting cadences (weekly/monthly/quarterly), including content scorecards, user engagement (UE) reports, and distributor performance tracking.
- Executive Support: Assist in drafting executive summaries and portfolio updates, providing data-backed recommendations for digital and TVE (TV Everywhere) strategy.
- Forecasting & Modeling: Support financial and viewership forecasting workflows by maintaining models, updating formulas, and assisting with quarterly projections.
- Media Measurement: Execute data pulls using industry-standard tools (e.g., Nielsen) to analyze “time spent viewing” and market-break performance.
- Data QA & Troubleshooting: Monitor for data anomalies and tracking issues (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Tableau QA). Ensure reporting tools are accurate and user-friendly.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a data partner for Editorial and Producers, providing quick-turnaround insights and supporting meeting preparation.
- Operational Management: Manage project tracking via Airtable/Trello and handle administrative tasks like user access and documentation updates.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 3+ years in digital analytics, preferably within a media, broadcast, or publishing environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert level in Excel and experience with Tableau. Familiarity with Adobe Analytics (Omniture) or Parsely is highly preferred.
- Nielsen Literacy: Experience pulling and interpreting Nielsen data for US television markets.
- Analytical Mindset: You don’t just report numbers; you find the “so what” behind the data to help teams pivot their strategy.
- Organization: Comfortable managing multiple ad-hoc requests while keeping cadence-based reporting on schedule.
