Mission
The Sales Director will be responsible for leading and developing the European commercial strategy for industrial laser and optical solutions, managing strategic accounts, and driving business growth across multiple international markets. The role will lead and coordinate the sales team, strengthen relationships with industrial customers, identify new market opportunities, and ensure commercial objectives are aligned with the company’s long-term strategic vision.
Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy and Business Development
- Define and execute the commercial strategy for industrial laser and optical solutions across the European market.
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and growth channels within industrial and high-technology sectors.
- Develop and manage relationships with OEM customers integrating laser and optical technologies into their industrial solutions.
- Drive business development activities with OEMs, machine manufacturers, and industrial system integrators.
Sales Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate the commercial team to achieve sales objectives and sustainable revenue growth.
- Establish commercial KPIs, reporting structures, and sales processes to ensure execution excellence.
- Foster a high-performance, customer-oriented, and technically credible sales culture.
Customer and Market Management
- Manage strategic customer relationships across Europe, ensuring long-term business development and account expansion.
- Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and technological developments in laser and optical technologies.
- Support complex negotiations and oversee commercial agreements with key industrial accounts and OEM customers.
Reporting and Commercial Governance
- Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline analysis, and performance reports for executive leadership.
- Coordinate closely with technical and operational teams to ensure successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure commercial activities comply with company standards, contractual obligations, and strategic business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in international B2B sales within industrial technology environments.
- Proven experience leading and developing commercial teams in international markets.
- Strong experience selling laser, photonics, or optical technologies to OEM customers and industrial integrators.
- Strong knowledge of industrial laser technologies, optical systems, or photonics-related markets.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Availability for frequent international travel across Europe.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with industrial laser systems, photonics technologies, or advanced optical solutions.
- Exposure to OEM environments, industrial automation, or precision manufacturing sectors.
- Experience managing multinational industrial customers and cross-border commercial operations.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales reporting tools, and structured commercial methodologies.
