The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees. The role applies Korn Ferry job evaluation methodology and market benchmarking to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.

Total rewards include salary, incentives, benefits, and non-financial rewards aligned with business strategy and employee engagement.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

1. Compensation Strategy

  • Design and manage salary structures, grading, and job architecture using Korn Ferry Hay methodology
  • Lead annual compensation cycles (merit increases, bonuses, promotions)
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis
  • Ensure pay equity and internal alignment across roles

2. Benefits & Wellbeing

  • Oversee benefits programs (medical, life, disability, retirement, etc.)
  • Manage vendor relationships and optimize cost vs. value
  • Drive employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives

3. Job Evaluation & Organization Design

  • Lead job evaluation, job mapping, and grading using Korn Ferry tools
  • Maintain job architecture aligned with organizational structure
  • Support organizational design and workforce planning

4. Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze compensation data, trends, and cost impact
  • Provide insights and recommendations to HR and leadership
  • Develop dashboards and reports on C&B effectiveness

5. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and corporate policies
  • Manage audits related to compensation and benefits
  • Maintain governance of reward frameworks

6. Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Finance, and Operations
  • Advise leadership on reward strategies and workforce decisions
  • Support change management and communication of reward programs

🏭 Manufacturing Experience (MANDATORY)

  • Experience in manufacturing / industrial environment
  • Understanding of:
  • Blue-collar vs white-collar compensation structures
  • Shift allowances, overtime, and union considerations
  • Plant-based workforce dynamics
  • Exposure to high-volume workforce and operational HR

📊 Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 8–12+ years of experience in Total Rewards / C&B
  • Strong hands-on experience in:
  • Compensation design & benchmarking
  • Benefits administration
  • HRIS systems (SAP, Workday, SuccessFactors, etc.)
  • Experience with Korn Ferry job evaluation methodology (must or highly preferred)
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
