Role Description

We are hiring a Software Engineer (Smart TV Specialist) for a part-time hybrid role based in Cairo, Egypt, with flexible remote work options.

This role is primarily focused on designing and developing Smart TV applications, with secondary responsibilities in web, mobile, and desktop development.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance applications for LG webOS and Samsung Tizen platforms, ensuring smooth streaming, stability, and a premium user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop IPTV applications for:

Samsung Tizen OS

LG webOS

• Develop core features such as:

Live TV streaming

Video on Demand (VOD)

• EPG (TV Guide)
• User authentication & playback management
• Optimize performance for Smart TV hardware limitations
• Debug, test, and maintain applications across multiple TV platforms
• Support additional development tasks in:

Web applications

Mobile applications (basic level)

Windows desktop applications (basic level)

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in Smart TV app development (Tizen & webOS)
• Strong experience building IPTV applications using M3U and/or Xtream Codes APIs
• Solid understanding of:
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Web application architecture
• Experience with API integration and backend communication
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and in a hybrid team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Have

• Experience with React or modern JavaScript frameworks
• Knowledge of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH)
• Familiarity with Agile development practices
• Basic mobile (Android/iOS) or Windows app development experience
• Strong English communication skills
