Accountant & Finance Officer – Co-Working Space (Egypt)

Reports To

General Manager / Managing Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant & Finance Officer to manage the financial operations of our co-working space. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, tax compliance, payroll, and ensuring adherence to Egyptian financial regulations. Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws and electronic invoicing requirements is essential.

  • Previous experience in co-working spaces, hospitality, real estate, service businesses, or business centers.
  • Experience managing multiple revenue streams and rental-based businesses.

Requirements

Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Record and maintain all financial transactions accurately.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and payment gateways.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation of financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Financial Management

  • Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
  • Analyze revenue streams from room rentals, memberships, events, and other services.
  • Monitor operational expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Support management with financial insights and decision-making.

Tax & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all Egyptian tax regulations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT (Value Added Tax) returns and other tax filings.
  • Manage corporate tax obligations and coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Handle electronic invoicing (E-Invoice) and electronic receipts (E-Receipt) requirements according to Egyptian Tax Authority regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in Egyptian tax laws and accounting standards.

Payroll & HR Finance Support

  • Process monthly payroll and ensure timely salary payments.
  • Calculate employee benefits, social insurance, and deductions.
  • Maintain payroll records in compliance with Egyptian labor laws.

Reporting & Auditing

  • Prepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards.
  • Assist with annual audits and provide required documentation.
  • Develop and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4–10 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax regulations, VAT, E-Invoicing, and corporate taxation.
  • Experience with accounting software (Odoo, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and budgets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
