POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an ambitious Junior Student Counselor to join our growing recruitment team in Cairo. You will work under the mentorship of a Senior Team Lead, managing your own pipeline of international student clients while learning the nuances of education placement across multiple markets e.g. (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Europe).
This is an excellent entry-to-mid-level role for someone with 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or education who wants to build a high-earning career in international student recruitment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead & Client Management
Be the first point of contact for new student inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, email, and other CRM-tracked channels
Qualify leads by understanding student goals, budget, and academic profile
Pass complex cases (MBA, PhD, niche programs) to the Senior Counselor for closure
Maintain professional and consultative tone in all student interactions
Counseling & Consultation
Conduct initial consultation calls with prospective students (15–30 minutes)
Understand student preferences: destination country, field of study, timeline, budget
Recommend suitable universities and programs based on student profile
Explain FFWD’s service fees, application process, and next steps clearly
Application Support
Assist students with document collection (transcripts, test scores, CV, personal statement)
Enter student data accurately into CRM system
Track application status and upload progress to student files
Support students through visa pre-requisite steps (IELTS, GMAT, etc.)
Follow-Up & Pipeline Management
Conduct aggressive follow-up with warm leads to move them toward application submission
Identify and flag at-risk students (quiet for 7+ days) for re-engagement
Log all interactions in CRM with clear next step and due date
Manage 10–20 concurrent student cases at any given time
Events & Outreach
Attend school visits, university fairs, and community events as assigned
Represent FFWD professionally and align with company values
Generate new leads from events and log them into CRM within 24 hours
Follow up on event leads within agreed timelines
Team Collaboration
Attend weekly team meetings to share wins, challenges, and market insights
Ask for help from the Senior Counselor when needed (no shame in escalation)
Learn from recorded call reviews and feedback sessions
Contribute ideas to improve processes and student experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (any field)
- 1–3 years of experience in:
- Student Recruitment / Education Services
- Sales (B2C or B2B)
- Customer Service (call center, helpdesk, etc.)
- Any role requiring phone confidence and CRM usage
Skills & Attributes
- Fluent English (Written & Spoken) – Non-negotiable
- Phone Confidence – You are comfortable making 15–20 calls per day
- CRM Proficiency – Ability to learn systems quickly
- Sales Mindset – Target-driven, coachable, competitive
- Professional Demeanor – Can represent FFWD at events
- Organizational Skills – Manage multiple student cases simultaneously
- Problem-Solving – Navigate student concerns with creativity
Nice-to-Have
- Previous international education or overseas placement experience
- Familiarity with UK, USA, Canada, Australia university systems
- Multilingual (Arabic + English )
- Experience with student visa processes
