Job Description
- Lead and manage the end-to-end tendering process for fire fighting and fire alarm projects, ensuring timely and accurate submission of bids.
- Analyze tender documents, specifications, and client requirements to develop comprehensive and competitive proposals.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather technical and commercial inputs for tender submissions.
- Prepare detailed cost estimations, risk assessments, and technical documentation in line with project requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and suppliers to ensure alignment and clarity throughout the tendering process.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to enhance bid competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, contractual, and safety standards in tender documentation.
- Lead negotiations with clients and stakeholders during the pre-award phase to clarify requirements and secure favorable terms.
- Maintain accurate records of all tendering activities, outcomes, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support the transition of awarded projects to the execution team, ensuring all contractual obligations and client expectations are clearly communicated.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is typically required.
- Experience: Relevant experience in bid or tender management, preferably within the fire protection, M&E (Mechanical & Electrical), or construction sectors, with a proven track record of securing contracts.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of firefighting systems (e.g., sprinklers, fire alarms, gaseous suppression systems like FM-200, NOVEC 1230, etc.).
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD, and tender/project management software is often necessary.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
