Responsibilities

·        Study the project file to prepare material packages

·        Negotiate pricing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

·        Create scopes of work, Issue purchase orders and sub-contracting agreement for procurement and expedition of materials and equipment for jobs.

·        Meet subcontractors and suppliers on-site as necessary.

·        Ensure compliance to project budgets and provide analysis of deviations.

·        Research new materials for design and cost savings.

·        Develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process

Simplification.

·        Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

·        Establish new relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adequate resources for all

projects and to continually improve pricing and quality of work.

·        Handle change order requests, maintain sub/supplier information on the company’s online management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in the field of construction is a must
•  Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Arabic 
• Proficient computer user specially Microsoft Office package.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
• Skills in issuing the purchase orders, tracking the purchase orders, expediting the supply, handling inspections, and the delivery site
• Aware of changing market trends.
• Exceptional problem-solving/analytical skills
