Role Description The Fiber Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing fiber optic networks to meet project and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing site surveys, developing outside plant fiber routes, preparing network design drawings and documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. The role involves evaluating technical specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, monitoring construction activities, and supporting testing, troubleshooting, and acceptance of fiber links. The Fiber Engineer will also help manage project timelines, track progress, and provide regular status updates. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, Egypt.
Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in Fibre and Optical Fiber technologies, including installation, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Outside Plant design and construction, including route planning, duct and cable layout, and field surveys.
• Proficiency in Network Design for fiber optic systems, including capacity planning, schematics, and as-built documentation.
• Demonstrated Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and deliver multiple fiber projects on schedule and within scope.
• Relevant engineering or telecommunications degree (or equivalent practical experience) and familiarity with industry standards and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, maps, and specifications; experience with design or GIS tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, contractors, and clients on-site.
