Job Description

• Analyze and monitor manufacturing costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate cost records for materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports for management review.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing detailed cost analysis and insights.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements related to cost accounting.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline cost accounting practices.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to cross-functional teams as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methods, and best practices.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.
• Effective communication skills to present complex financial information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
